    Overview

    The Inventory Control Receiving Clerk receives, verifies, stores, and issues manufactured and purchased parts and materials and assures their delivery. In addition, you will pack parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies into containers for shipment. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks

    Responsibilities

    • Work from bills of materials, receiving tickets, material requisitions, route cards, purchase orders, shipping orders, packaging procedures, and verbal instructions
    • Identify parts and materials received by memory, comparison, and / or specifications
    • Verify parts and materials received by quantity and/or weight
    • Store parts and materials in appropriate storage area and containers
    • Fill orders and issues supplies, checking back order files against incoming parts and completes appropriate paper work
    • Mark identifying part number on parts and materials received
    • Complete appropriate forms for stock received and delivered and notifies inspection of count difference
    • Select appropriate material handling containers for part protection and indicates departmental designations
    • Assist in weekly cycle inventory count as required
    • Perform preservation packing as required
    • Move parts and materials manually, with a pallet truck, or hand truck
    • May cut and apply stencils, preserve metal parts, or complete minor assemblies
    • May weigh, address, write packing slips, nail, etc. packages
    • Email communication using sound judgment in elevating issues/obstacles to delivering material on time to end-users
    • Must have strong oral/written communication skills'
    • Must work overtime when business demands; hours are 9am-5pm

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma / GED
    • Minimum 3yrs related work experience
    • Demonstrate organizational skills
    • Customer Service Oriented – ability to diffuse when necessary w/customers
    • Forklift Experience; certification preferred
    • Ability and willingness to lift of up to 25 pounds
    • Ability and willingness to use mechanical aids for heavier weights
    • Stacker Certification
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
    • Minimum of three months experience as Order Filler or Packer
