    Overview

    This role is mainly responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing and Assembly, Test & Paint operations. Supervisory responsibilities consist of managing four line supervisors and their teams for all 3 shifts with the responsibility of the employees, work load and projects. Production managers must supervise and plan; but must be ready to demonstrate their skill and experience in a manufacturing environment delivering continuous improvement. The primary goal of the production manager is to ensure that all manufacturing processes and related activities operate at the highest levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and drive day-to-day production schedules, operational and plant activities in accordance with business goals and objectives.
    • Runs daily meetings and provides timely updates and information to key stakeholders.
    • Manages human and material resources to meet production targets.
    • Lead manufacturing process improvement utilizing the concepts and techniques of lean, Six Sigma, and industry and company best practices.
    • Maintaining and enforcing safety protocols and compliance guidelines.
    • Review engineering recommended process changes to ensure process is appropriate with operating goals.
    • Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines to avoid downtime and delays, ensure production process and machinery comply with customer specifications and professional and safety standards.
    • Monitor budget and utilize operational resources, participate in safety program development.
    • Manage the selection, training and development of production staff.
    • Develops and guides team to accomplish goals established for 5S, Lean projects, and identifies process improvement opportunities within the business.
    • Manages intra-department and inter-department communication, reporting tools, and systems.
    • Collaborates effectively across all functions on business initiatives and daily order execution.
    • Manages production budget at adhere to overtime, labor, and materials requirements.
    • Enforces system and company policies and procedures. Actively participates with the management team to support and implement initiatives.
    • Develops and drives key performance indicators to the highest standards of performance in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
    • Develops and accelerates team performance through formalized training plans, coaching, and performance management.
    • Provides support to other functions in determining manufacturing capabilities, product lead times, and cost estimates.
    • Participates and leads projects aimed at improving on time delivery and inventory turns; reducing cost of quality; and increasing productivity.
    • Conducts problem-solving and continuous improvement as a daily norm.
    • Engages with the teams to provides hands on support for troubleshooting issues plaguing production performance and dispute resolution.
    • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality standards for all products.

    Qualifications

    • Lean & Six Sigma strongly recommended/preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; preferably Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
    • Minimum of 5+years of experience in manufacturing operations.
    • Knowledge of raw materials, quality system, and standards.
    • Knowledge of business, finance, and management principles.
    • Experience leading large teams in a machine shop environment.
    • Demonstrated experience of delivering productivity improvements in a production environment.
    • Background in manufacturing engineering preferred.
    • Must have sufficient understanding of all CCI products to assemble, perform all normal tests, and troubleshoot and find solutions to problems with minimal supervision.
    • Must have sufficient knowledge of normally used pneumatic-actuator accessories (manual, pneumatic, elect pneumatic, and electronic devices.
    • Must possess good maintenance mechanical skills/knowledge to oversee and troubleshoot medium to large valve assemblies.
    • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and schematics.
    • Must be willing to work extended hours when staff is working overtime and/or some weekends.
    • Reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively at all levels of an organization.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
    • Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
    • Proficient in MS Excel as primary reporting tools
    • IFS Knowledge a plus
