    Overview

    We are looking for a 2nd shift Milling Machinist Lead to join our team!!

     

    The Milling Machinist team lead will set-up, adjust offsets, and operate common machine shop milling equipment such as 3 and 4 axis machining centers and drill presses. Also, produce production parts to required tolerances, and complete prototype, secondary, rework, and deburring operations.

    Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities required:

    • Mazak 4-axis set-up
    • Mazatrol program comprehension and editing (not programming from scratch)
    • Haas machine set-up a plus

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience with setting up and operating 3 and 4 axis CNC machining centers is required.
    • Past experience with setting up and operating 2 axis turning centers is a plus.
    • Advanced recognition and understanding of common G+M code style programming, and ability to edit programs.
    • Knowledge and ability to use inspection equipment; such as: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, thread gages, and video inspection systems.
    • Ability to identify and understand the use of common tooling such as drills, taps, and end-mills.
    • Understand the X, Y, and Z (Cartesian Coordinate System) axis of the 3 axis machining center, and 4th axis of the machining center.
    • Advanced blueprint comprehension.
    • Mathematical knowledge including addition, subtraction, multiplication, geometry, and trigonometry.
