IMI’s Graduate Program focuses on recruiting graduates to its engineering talent pipelines. Annually, IMI intakes graduates seeking engineerin careers within our division. Each graduate will undertake 4 placements across the 2-year program. Throughout the program each graduate will be provided with challenging and meaningful assignments with great learning opportunities coupled with a well-planned and supported development program. The pillars of the 2-year graduate program focus on technical knowledge and skills, IMI business knowledge and personal leadership skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The graduates of the Grad Program are seeking engineering careers and the placements focus on developing engineering expertise to fill our talent pipelines. Graduate placements align to the IMI Precision Engineering strategy (Fix, Focus & Grow) and ensure that the graduate adds value to the organization in terms of engineering delivery.
All 34 of the graduates we recruit from around the world will start their journey together at IMI’s global headquarters in the UK in 2019. Together, you’ll learn what it takes to succeed within IMI and we’ll help you to understand our business strategy and the goals that are driving our growth.
At your induction, you’ll be connected with a mentor from within your division who’ll support and coach you throughout the two-year programme. Our graduate development team will guide you on career development and relocation as well as working with the local HR team and Placement Manager to make sure you hit the ground running with every new placement.
Each graduate will follow a path map that will encompass 4 elements within the engineering spectrum. Each element will be supplemented by a rotation at one of IMI’s locations – allowing the graduate the opportunity to learn about different aspects of the business, additional product lines and opportunities to network. There may be instances when a specialist program is more appropriate whereby a graduate may undertake multiple placements in the same discipline. In these circumstances this will be agreed in advance with the Regional Human Resources team.
On top of this we offer a competitive salary and benefits package and international experience that will set you up for a great long-term career with us.
If you can imagine a better world, then you can engineer it with us.
