    Overview

     

    The Customer Service Representative III is the primary customer contact for order placement, order modifications, status updates and expedites requests. This senior level role requires knowledge of the EDI ordering process, management of customer portals and the ability to review forecasted orders, identify risks and proactively solve customer concerns. Effective time management, organizational skills and the ability to make decisions with limited information are required.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with both external and internal customers.
    2. Responsible for effective and timely responses to inquiries via email and phone communication and the maintenance of account information (contact details and courier/routing details).
    3. Manage and administer to the customer shipping dates (order status) 
    4. Review customer forecasts, identify increases in demand and proactively work with the supply chain team to adjust based on capacity constraints
    5. Responsible for researching various customer issues: late shipments,  lost shipments; over/under shipment; proof of delivery; creation and follow up of credits and customer returns (RMA).
    6. Identify and drive process improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University (6+ years of work experience or combination of work experience plus college will be considered).
    2. Six plus years of customer facing experience and six plus years work experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Manufacturing environment experience required.

     

    Skills and Competencies

    1. Proficient with ERP customer service responsibilities i.e. Oracle, SAP or JDE
    2. Previous procurement experience is a plus.
    3. Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
    4. Previous logistics or operations experience is a plus.
