  • Overview


    The Sr. HR Business Partner will be the resource liaison and leader to ensure HR issues and needs are being properly addressed across all sites within the Industrial Automation vertical (Brazil, Canada, Mexico and United States). Reporting directly to the VP & GM of Industrial Automation vertical and dotted-line to the VP, HR for the Americas region, this strategic HR position supports the business and drives the implementation and administration of HR processes and initiatives across the vertical while promoting the IMI culture.


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    1. Partner with vertical VP & GM, to develop and deliver effective HR strategies, plans and processes to support the achievement of the vertical’s business priorities and objectives
    2. Partner with VP, HR, Americas to implement and support regional, divisional and corporate HR initiatives
    3. Ensure the execution of HR programs/processes in the areas of performance management, talent acquisition, talent management, training and development, total rewards, employment practices and employee engagement
    4. Consult with site HR team and leadership to determine HR needs and provide support
    5. Lead staffing forecasting and recruiting throughout the vertical
    6. Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best in class solutions
    7. Identify appropriate learning and development solutions for individuals, teams, and organizations
    8. Work with site HR team and leadership to create meaningful development and career plans
    9. Lead HR team and management in conducting the talent review process and in planning for future talent and skills sets to stay competitive and anticipate emerging capabilities
    10. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment. Maintains minimal Company exposure to lawsuits
    11. Conduct thorough, objective investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
    12. Monitors and provides coaching on the implementation of performance improvement plans for non-performing employees
    13. Ensure all sites have an organizational structure that allow for maximum efficiency and productivity
    14. Travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 20% of time)
    15. Other duties as assigned



    Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required. Business or HR preferred.
    2. Master’s degree in HR, business or related field preferred
    3. 7+ years of site HR leadership experience required (international & multi-site experience) preferred
    4. 3+ years of experience in a dedicated Compensation, Benefits, Organizational Development, Employee Relations or Talent Acquisition role is required

    4. High level of integrity and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
    5. Must possess good business acumen with ability to help drive HR best practices
    6. Must have working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employment practices and procedures in Brazil, Mexico, and United States
    7. Proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is highly preferred


    Computers and Technology

    1. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
    2. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
    3. Knowledge of iCIMS preferred



    1. GPHR, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required


    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, performance management, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, training and development of one or more employees.
